Idly is one of the most popular breakfast item of South India. I made this masala idly with left over idly’s.I used small or mini idly for this masala idly. We can make this masla idly  with big size idly’s also. Cut the idly’s in to pieces and use it. Very easy break fast for all and idle for  lunch box also.  Let us see how to make this simple easy yummy idly.

Preparation time approx 12 to 15 minutes.

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped dhaniya leaves.

Heat a pan add oil. When it is hot add mustard seeds. Let it splutter. Now add both daals. Let it become brown. Add chopped onion and saute for little time. Now add turmeric powder, chilly powder ans very little salt( already idly’s are salted). Saute for few seconds. Now add mini idly or idly pieces. Saute well . The masala should coat over allthe idly’s . Switch off the stove. Add coriander leaves and mix well . Serve.
