Poha kozhukkattai is one of the easy protein rich breakfast for diet/ weight management. I have added soya chunks, veggies, paneer to make this more protein packed. We can make it with in 30 minutes. I have paired this with thattukada chutney. ( already posted the recipe in my blog)
Let us see how to make this.
You can use any vegetables of your choice.
Preparation time approx. 30 minutes.
Ingredients.
1 cup thick poha. ( you can use thin also)
2 tbsp chopped red capsicum
2 tbsp chopped green capsicum.
1/4 cup grated carrots.
8 to 9 soya chuck soaked in hot water.
1/ 4 to 1/2 cup grated paneer.
2 beans chopped.
3 green chillies chopped.
1 tbsp grated ginger.
Few chopped curry leaves
Few chopped coriander leaves
2 tbsp oil or ghee.
1 tsp jeera.
Salt to taste.
Method.
Wash and soak thick poha for 10 minutes. Strain and keep.
Wash the soya chunks in water. Squeeze it. Again do the same process 4 to 5 times.
Squeeze it and powder this mixi.
In a kadai add ghee or oil . When it is hot add jeera. Add chopped green chillies and ginger. Saute. Now add curry leaves soya paste and all the chopped veggies. Add little salt. Saute nicely. Add grated paneer. Saute well. Now annd strained poha Add salt. Mix well. When it becomes dry add chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and switch off the stove.
In a steamer add water and boil. Take little poha and make small balls in any shape. Arrange in steamer. Steam cook. When it is cooked switch off the stove.
Let it become little cool. Take out and serve with any chutney.
I made thattukada thanni chutney as side dish.
