I have learnt this recipe from one of my friend. This sweet is made with sticky dates and few other ingredients. There is no need of cooking. We have to set the sweets in fridge.and serve.Its healthy version of sweet
Preparations time approx 15 minutes
Setting Time 8 hours
- 1 cup sticky seedless dates. ( we need dates which is slightly sticky juicy type)
- 1/2 cup Almonds peeled chopped in to small pieces
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 125 gram salt less butter
- 1 packet Morning coffee biscuit crushed or Marie biscuit
Pistachios crushed to roll the sweet ( we can use sugar also to roll the sweet)
In a big bowl add seedless dates, crushed biscuits,powdered sugar, vanilla essence,peeled chopped almonds and melted butter.
With your hands mix everything. It will become a thick dough.
In a tray put the dough and with a roller roll it flat.
Cover this with aluminium foil and keep in the fridge for 7 to 8 hours for setting.
Take out the sweet tray from the fridge and cut in to desired shapes.Roll the sweet in pistachio powder or sugar powder.
