Coconut chutney is one of the most suitable side dish for all most all south indian tiffin items. Today I am giving you restaurant style coconut chutney with red chilles. I made this chutney with coconut,shallots and red chillies. Let us see how to make this easy chutney .
Preparation time approx. 10 minutes.
- 1 cup fresh grated coconut.
- 2 tbsp roasted gram .
- 3 red chillies. ( adjust according to taste)
- 2 shallots.
- 1/4 tsp tamarind paste or a small piece of tamarind.
- salt to taste.
- 1 tbsp oil.
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp urad daal1/4 tsp channa dal
- a pinch of asafoetida
- few curry leaves
- 1 small red chilly.
Grind all the items except seasoning. Add little water and grind. Do not make in to very nice paste.
Heat oil. Add mustard. When it started spluttering add urad and channa daal. When it turns in to brown add curry leaves and 1 small red chilly and asafoetida. Pour over the chutney.
