Thukkada is one of the easiest snack/savoury . Even begginers can do it.This yummy snack does not need any expertise. Thukka is very crucnhy and spicy in taste. We can make this with wheat flour and All purpouse flour or mix of both . Today i made this with wheat flour. Let us see how to make this easy yummy snack.
Preparation time approx 20 to 30 minutes.
- 1 cup wheat flour.
- 1 tbsp red chilly powder.(you can change according to your taste)
- salt to taste.
- 1/2 tsp ajwain ( optional)
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- a pinch of baking soda
- 1tbsp oil
- oil for deep frying
In a bowl add all the ingredients and mix well.
Add water and make a tight dough like roti. Add little oil and make soft dough.The dough should be very tight.
Take a small portion out of this dough and make rotis(round shape) with the help of rolling bin. Do not make very thin or very thick.
Now cut the thukkadas in to diamond shape.
Heat oil in a pan . When it is hot add these diamond shape thukkadas in to oil and deep fry.
Turn them frequently to fry evenly both the sides.
Fry the thukkadas until it become crispy. Keep the stove in medium heat.Take out and store this in a airtight container. It will stay for few days.
