Rose turkish delight. (Easy method.)

I was planning to make this sweet for long time. I checked the you tube videos . Authentic sweet will take hours to make . Then I got this easy method to make Turkish delight without changing its taste. I tried this recipe and it came out well. The rose water gives the real fragrance and tastes to this sweet. You can try  orange or any other flavoured turkish delight also.

I used gelatin to make this sweet. You can use agar agar also instead of gelatin.

I am dedicating this Turkish delight to my daughter Ranjani Sundaram who is celebrating her birthday today and also this is my 200th recipe in my blog.

Let us see how to make this easy sweet with in 15 minutes.

Preparation time approx 15 minutes.

Ingredients.

  •  25 grams Un flavoured gelatin.
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar. ( i have added 1 1/2 cup. If you want use little less.)
  • 2 drops of re colour.
  • 1 tsp rose water.
  • 1 tsp fresh lemonn juice.
  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1tbsp corn flour

or

  •  5 tbsp confectionary sugar. If you are using this no need of adding corn flour.

Method.

In a bowl add 25 grams of gelatin ( if you are using agar agar powder this  and measure. I have not tried agar agar for making this sweet).

Add 250 ml water.  Mix well . Keep aside for 10 minutes.

Switch off the flame and  add rose water and colour. Mix well.

In a square box or plate  or cake tin pour this mixture.

I used 2 square glass boxes. Wash and then add the mixture, If your box is having moisture it will be easy to remove the sweet from the box.

Let it come to room temperature.

Now close the box with lid or foil or cling film.

Keep this in the fridge for 24 hours. ( do not keep in the freezser)

Mix Powdered sugar and corn flour  in a plate. (Or use confectinary sugar. )

Take out the turkish delight and remove it from the box.

Sprinkle little sugar mix over this and slowly cut this in to square shape.
