Chuttaracha Chammandhi is an authentic
roasted coconut and red chillies chutney. Chutta means roasted. Aracha means grind. Chammandhi means thick solid chutney.
We are roasting everything on fire and making Chammandhi. There are many variations to make this. We can roast in air friyer also. This Chammandhi will stay for longer time. We can take this as a side dish when we travel. It is a good side dish for dosa, idly, paratha, Poori, roti, hot rice etc.

Preparation time approx… 20 minutes.
Ingredients
Half coconut (cut in to big pieces)
8 to 10 shallots
8 red chillies
Gooseberry size tamarind.
Salt to taste.
Method
Cut coconut in to big pieces and roast on fire. Be careful it should not become black.
Roast shallots on fire.
Roast red chillies on fire.
Now take all ingredients in a mixing jar. Grind coarsely.
Without adding water grind.
