Crispy dosa

This dosa recipe is different from our everyday dosa.This delicious dosa recipe is generally prepared in restaurants

Crispy dosa is a winner item in my home,especially with my children.

Cooking time: 2 minutes


  • 1 cup raw rice
  • 1 tbsp dehusked urad dhal
  • 1 tbsp thuar dhal
  • 1/2 spoon methi seeds
  • 1/4 cup rice flakes
  • 1 1/2 tbsp rawa
  • salt to taste.
  • 1 spoon sugar.
  • Ghee as per needed


Soak rice, both dhals and  methi seeds together for 4 hours

Soak rice flakes half an hour

Grind everything together to smooth thick paste.

Add salt.

Allow to ferment for 8 to 10 hours.

Add rawa and sugar an hour before preparation.

In hot dosa tawa or dosa pan spread the dosa as thin as possible.

Cover it.

Pour little ghee over the dosa for better taste.

Do not turn the dosa.

Once dosa is crispy remove from pan.

Serve with sambar and chutney.
