Mutter paneer is one of the favorite dish at home. It tastes so good with any Indian bread. Tomatoes are main base of this curry. Let us see how to make this easy.
Preparation time approx.30 to 40 minutes.
Ingredients.
- 3 big tomatoes
- 1 big onion
- 1/2 cup frozen mutter.
- 150 gram paneer pieces
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 1/2 tsp fresh ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp panner butter masala or Garam masala
- 1/2 tsp kasturi methi
- 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste.
- Chopped coriander leaves little.
- Salt to taste
Method
In a 2 liter cooker add chopped tomatoes and chopped onions. Pressure cook for 2 whistles. Do not add water to tomato and onion. With in 4 minutes 2 whistles should come . If it didn’t come switch off stove. Let the pressure go . Then open the cooker.
Let it cool. Grind this.In this method we can reduce oil for cooking.
Heat a kadai. Add 2 tbsp oil. Add ginger garlic paste saute till the raw smell goes.Then. add tomato onion paste. Fry till the oil floats. Add little water and continue to cook. Add chilly powder,coriander powder,paneer butter masala powder or Garam masala powder, salt to taste. Fry everything for 1 minute. Check the sauce consistency.Now add 1/4 cup of full fat milk. Mix it vigorously to avoid curdling. Let the sauce thickens. Now add frozen mutter and paneer pieces. Cook for few more minutes. Add chopped coriander leaves. Mix well. When mutter is cooked switch off stove.Now add. Kasturi Methi powder.
Tips
I have added milk to replace cream.
I cooked tomato and onion in pressure cooker to avoid long time frying and used less oil. You can do this on open pan also.
Taste of the base curry is depend on the frying time of sauce.cook on medium heat.
Add water to tomatoes and cook well.
