Kala Gulab jamun with instant khoya

Kala gulab jamun and gulab jamun recipe is all most similar. For this kala jamun i used home made instant khoya with milk powder.  We can make this khoya with in 5 minutes and refrigerate for few weeks.. I used khoya and paneer to make this sweet. With in 15 minutes we can make this. Let us see the method of making this.

Preparation time approx 20 minutes

Ingredients.

  • 1 cup khoya ( I used home made)
  • 1/2 cup paneer ( home made or store bought)
  • 1/4 cup maida or all purpose flour.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder.
  • 1 cup water
  • ghee for frying jamuns

for khoya

  • 1 cup full fat milk powder. (I used Nestle Nido)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp ghee

 

Method.

Instant khoya.

Ingredients for instant khoya: 

Preparation time approx 5 minutes:

  • 1 cup full fat milk powder. (I used Nestle Nido)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp ghee

Method: 

In a wide bowl take 1 cup of milk powder. Heat 1/4 cup milk with ghee. When it is hot add to milk powder. Mix with your finger tips.

Shape this according to your choice.

Scrape this with a grater or crumble .keep aside. ( this will not spoil for few week in fridge. If you are keeping in freezer it will stay for a month)

Take bowl and add khoya. Mash well with your hands till it becomes a soft dough. Keep aside.

Mash paneer well till it become soft.

Mix both paneer and khoya and mix well. Add maida and mash together . Keep aside.

Divide the dough equally and make a round or oblong shape .

In the mean time add sugar add water and boil it. When sugar melted fully add  cardamom. Keep this hot sugar syrup aside.

Heat ghee in a pan . Add the dough balls and deep fry on medium fire. Make sure ghee should be on medium heat.

Once it is fried take out and put this in the  sugar syrup.

Serve.
