White/ Kabuli channa or chole dosa

White channa or kabuli channa is considered to be one of the low Glycemic lentils.  I got this recipe from one of my friend.

White channa dosa is protein enriched, good for weight loss, lowers BP, it contains high fiber and good even for diabetic people. I have added few more ingredients to this to make this very tasty. There is no need of fermentation for this dosa.

Let us see how to make this.

Preparation time approx. 15 minutes.

Soaking time overnight.

Ingredients.

  • 1cup white channa or kabuli channa soaked over night.
  • 1/2 cup thick poha.( soak for half an hour)
  • 2 tbsp raw rice. ( soak rice
  • with poha for half an hour)
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger.
  • 6 or 7 green chilles. ( adjust according to your taste.)
  • salt to taste.
  • thil  oil to make dosa.( you can use any  cooking oil)

Method.

Soak  channa , poha and raw rice as mentioned above.

Grind all the ingredients adding very little water in to a soft batter. Consistency of the batter should be medium thick . We need not ferment this batter. We can use this instantly after grinding.

Heat a tawa.  I used iron tawa. You can use npn stick tawa also.Apply little oil and wipe it with a tissue.

Pour one big laddle of batter and spread in round shape dosa. I make little thicker dosa. If you want you can  make it thin.

Pour little oil over the dosa. When one side is cooked or the colour change in to brown flip it. Cook the other side and remove fron the tawa.

Serve with any kind of chutney or sambar.
