Vegetable patties without potatoes

I made this healthy version of vegetable patties for evening . I thought of avoiding potatoes. So i replaced the potato. I used  raw banana . It is very easy to make this simple patties. . We can use this patties as a base for ragada patties or we can eat this like a snack with ketchup or green chutney or we can use this patties and make a good chat. Let us see how to make this easy snack.

Preparation time approx 30 minutes.

Ingredients.

  • 1  raw banana ( which we are using for bhajji)
  • 1 chopped  beetroot
  • 1 chopped carrots.
  • 1 cup of finely chopped spinach or palak.
  • 1 chopped onion.
  • 1 chopped green chilles.
  • 1/4 cup channa dal flour or besan.
  • 1 tsp chilli powder.
  • 1/2 tsp amchur powder.
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masal
  • 1/4 tsp black salt.
  • salt to taste.
  • 4 tbsp oats powder. or bread crumbs.
  • 1 tsp oil for brushing the pan.

Method.

Steam cook or pressure cook banana (with skin) , beetroot and carrots.( i pressure cooked for 2 whistle). Do not add water when you are cooking .vegetables.

Peel the skin of banana. Either you can mash it or grate it and keep aside.

Mash beetroot and carrots. Add to banana.

Now add all the other things and mix well. No need to add water. You can make a dough. If you feel your dough is very sticky add little more channa daal flour or besan.

Apply little oil on your hands.

Divide the dough in to equal balls and flatten it with your palms.

Dust the patties in powdered oats or bread crumbs. Keep aside.

Heat a non stick or granite pan and brush very little oil .

Arrange the patties on the hot tan. On slow flame fry this. When one side is cooked flit it. Cook other side till it become brown.
