Lime leaves / vadugapuli naranga ila we are using to make masala buttermilk ,tea etc. I learnt this recipe from a friend from palakkad. It was spicy and full of vitamins. Chammandhi goes well with rice gruel or Kanji or and any tiffins like kozhukkattai, idly,dosa. For making this Chammandhi we are using green chillies instead of red chillies. We need not use onion or garlic to make this chammandhi. Let us see how to make this.
Preparation time approx 10 minutes.
1 cup fresh grated coconut.
4 to 5 lemon leaves.
1/4 cup fresh curry leaves.
5 green chillies. ( adjust spice level)
A small piece of tamarind.
Salt to taste.
Grind everything together adding very little water. Do not grind very fine. It should be coarsely ground. Serve.
