I learnt this recipe from Venkatesh bhat sir. Very easy ,healthy chutney which goes well with bhajjiyas, bonda’s, idly,dosa etc. We can make this chutney with very little coconut. This chutney will be little luqid consistency and spicy.

Preparation time approx 10 minutes.
Ingredients.
3/4 cup fried gram ( pottukadalai)
2 tbsp grated coconut.
6 green chillies
2 tbsp grated ginger or one big piece.
One small piece tamarind.
2 big piece garlic
Handful of coriander leaves
Salt to taste.
Seasoning.
1 tbsp oil.
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tbsp urad daal.
1 red chilly.
Few curry leaves.
Method.
In a mixer grinder add everything other than seasoning items and make it in to a smooth paste.
Add this in to a bowl. Add 2 cups of water. ( check your consistency). Mix well.
Heat oil add mustard seeds. Let it crackle. Add urad daal , red chilly and curry leaves. When urad daal becomes brown pour it over the chutney.
