Protein dosa/Jowar adai

Jowar millet is packed with vitamins,minerals. It helps weight loss,diabetic friendly and gluten free. Jowar is high in protein. It improves digestive system .

Today I tried dosa with jowar . Added varities of daals,horsegram, flaxseed, and some spices. This high protein dosa is good for breakfast or dinner. There is no need to ferment the batter.

Let us see how to make this.

Preparation time approx 10 minutes.

Soaking time overnight or 8 to 9 minutes.

Ingredients.

1 cup jowar seeds.

1/4 cup channa daal

1/4 cup thuar daal

A hand full of horsegram.

2 tbsp flaxseed.

1/2 tsp methi seeds

1 tsp jeera.

A piece of ginger.

Few red chillies.

1/2 spoon asafotedia

10 shallots or 1 small size onion chopped

3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves.

Few curry leaves.

Salt to taste.

Thil oil to make dosa.

Method.

Wash jowar ,,daals,horsegram, methi seeds,flaxseed well. Soak it for 8 hours or over night Grind jowar, channa daal, tuar daal, horsegram, flaxseed,methi seeds,ginger and red chillies adding little water. Chop the shallots. Add chopped shallots, chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves. Add required salt and mix well. It should be pouring consistency. There is no need of fermentation.

Heat a tawa. Apply little oil. Once tawa is hot pour a laddle full of batter and spread as thin as possible. Sprinkle little oil. When one side is cookedflip it to other side. When done remove from tawa. Serve with chutney
