Instant Ragi or finger millet  dosa.

Ragi or Finger millet help to reduce weight loss. Consuming ragi helps to reduce cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes.

Today I tried  instant ragi roast  for dinner. It tastes good and and it was a hit in my family. I paired this dosa with daal and onion chutney.  Let us see how to make this simple easy, tasty dosa.

Preparation time approx. 10 to 15 minutes.

Soaking time . 30 minutes to 1hour.

Ingredients

1 heaped cup of ragi powder ( store bought)

1/2 cup rice flour

1/2 cup suji or rawa.

1 small grated carrot.

1 small size chopped onion

1 chopped green chillies.

1 tsp chopped ginger

Chopped curry leaves

Chopped coriander leaves.

1/4 tsp asafoetida

Salt to taste.

Oil for making dosa

Method.

Mix all ragi powder, rice flour, and rawa . Add salt. Add  all items.  . Mix well.

Add water and make a thin consistency batter. More thinner than dosa batter.

Keep this batter for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Method.

Heat a thick dosa tawa. Sprinkle little oil and spread. Thawa should not be very hot. Medium hot.

Take a laddle full of batter and pour inside the dosa tawa. Do not spread with laddle or spoon. You have to sprinkle the batter.

Cook on one side. Pour a small spoon of oil around the dosa. It will take 2 to 3 minutes to cook. Flip it and roast.

Remove from fire and serve with any chutney of your choice.
