I saw tomato dosa recipe in a magazine. I was very tempted to try it.
We can make tomato dosa with very few items. No need of fermentation also. For this dosa we are not using urad dhal like normal dosa.
Preparation time approx 4 hours
Soaking time of rice for 3 hours.
- 2 cup raw rice
- 2 big size ripped tomatoes
- kashmiri red chillies ( you can use normal chillies also)
- salt to taste.
Soak the rice for about 3 hours
In a big mixi jar add everything and grind to smooth paste .
Wash the mixi jar and take that water. Boil it. It will become a thick batter. Add this water dosa batter. If you are doing this when you are cooking dosa it will not get white patches on it.
Heat a dosa pan. Sprinkle little thil oil. With a tissue paper spread it .
Pour a ladle full of dosa batter to dosa pan and spread in round shape.
Pour 1 tsp oil or ghee or butter of your choice on dosa.Close it with a lid and cook.
When one side is cooked flip the dosa and cook the otherside also.
