Carrot Burfi

Carrot Burfi

This is an instant sweet dish that can be prepared within 15 minutes. If you are craving for gajjar ka halwa and have no time, this is the go to recipe you can follow. They taste the same except gajjar ka halwa is obviously richer.

One of my friends gave me this recipe and I am just taking it forward and sharing it with you.

You don’t need a lot of ingredients to make this at home. You can pretty much make it with what you have cause it’s that simple.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups grated carrots or 250 gram carrot grated
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • Any dry fruit to decorate. I used pistachio.
  • 1 tbsp ghee

Method

Heat a thick nonstick pan and add ghee and fry the grated  carrots.

The batter will become a round ball after few minutes. It will not stick in the pan. At this stage switch off stove.

Grease a plate and transfer the Burfi.
After cooling cut into pieces. Garnish with pistachio.
