Pappad cone chaat is an easy healthy oil free snack for an evening with a hot cup of coffee or tea. I always prefer oil free snacks. I tried this Pappad cone in the microwave.
Filled the cone with a few fresh veggies and spices. Let us see how to make this cone.
Preparation time approx 10 minutes
Ingredients
4 medium size pappad
1 de-seeded chopped tomato
1/4 cup grated carrots
1 small size chopped onion
1/4 cup sev to garnish
Chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp black salt
1/2 tsp chaat masala
Method
Cut the pappad into half
Heat a non stick tawa. When it is hot put the half pappad on that. Gently press it with a tissue paper of a soft towel.Small bubbles will start coming. At this time flip the pappad and roast. It should not be crispy.
Keep a tissue paper on hand. Take out the hot Pappad and fold one end towards middle and make a cone shape. Keep like that for 10 seconds. Keep aside.
Chop tomatoes and onion finely. Mix all the other ingredients mentioned except sev nicely. Fill the cone with the vegetable mix and garnish with sev and coriander leaves. Serve immediately.
Tips
Use any veggies or sprouts of your choice.
If you want a bigger size cone do not cut the pappad in to half. You can roast the full pappad.
Add coriander and sweet chutney.
