Milk powder burfi is an easy sweet dish made with milk powder.We can make this sweet within 15 to 20 minutes with very few items. Try this sweet for this Diwali. It is very easy to make even for the beginners. I have explained the recipe with step by step pictures. Let us see how to make this yummy dessert.
Preparation time approx 15 to 20 minutes.
- 2 cups milk powder.( any barand)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 heaped tbsp ghee or clarified butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder.
- 3 to 4 tbsp pistachio or any dry fruit or tutty fruitty.
Powder the sugar and keep aside.
Trake a tray. Put the parchment paper or butter paper. Apply little ghee on the paper and keep it ready. In this way it is easy to take out the sweet from the tray.
( you can apply ghee on the tray also without using butter paper.)
Heat a non stick pan.
Add ghee. Once it started melting add milk.
Then add milk powder.
Once it is mixed well add the powdered sugar and mix well.
Keep the stove on low to medium.
Keep on stirring.
It will become a lump.
Keep on stirring till the mix became non sticky.
Add cardamom powder.
Pour this on the tray.
Make it even with a spatula.
Sprinkle the crushed nuts or pistachio over the sweet and press it.
Let it come to the room temperature.
Cut this in to any shape and serve.
If you are using tutty fruitty mix it with the sweet and pour over the tray,
