Green apple pickle.

I have already posted green apple recipe in my blog. This one is totaly different and it will stay at room temparature for 3 to 4 days and 3 to 4 weeks if you refrigerate. I have not added garlic in my pickle. If you like garlic you can add some chopped garlic also. It goes well with rice, dosa, idly, aappam , paratha or any tiffin. Let us see how to make this yummy instant pickle.

Preparation time approx 10 minutes.

Ingredients.

1 raw green apple chopped in to tiny pieces.

4 tsp chilli powder. ( you can adjust the spice level)

1/2 tsp methi powder.(dry fry and powder)

1/2 tsp turmeric powder.

1 tsp methi or fenugreek seeds.

2 tbsp chopped ginger.

2 to 3 red chillies.

1 tsp asafoetida or hing.

Method.

Mix chopped apple, turmeric powder, salt and chilly powder keep aside for 10 minutes.

Now add 5 tbsp boiled cooled vinegar. If your apple is sour add little less. Adjust the sourness . Now add boiled cooled water little by little. Add accoding to the consistency . If you want more liquidy you can add little more. Now mix this well. Heat the oil. Add mustard seeds, Let it splutter. Add methi seeds and red chillies. Saute this and add curry leaves and ginger. Fry this for few seconds and add asafoetida. Mix well and pour this over the pickle. Mix well and use.
