I was planning to make something new for my breakfast. I tried poha roti / dosa . I used only these two items for grinding.
We can make this dish very easily. You can add any vegetable of your choice for more healthier version. This roti is very soft for long time. It’s a good option for lunch box. Any kind of chutney will go with this. Let us see how to make this.
Preparation time approx 10 to 12 minutes.
Soaking time. Over night or 7 hours.
Ingredients.
1 cup sona masoori/ raw rice.
1/2 cup any white poha.
Salt to taste.
2 chopped green chillies.
1/ 2 cup grated carrots.
1 chopped onions
5 tbsp chopped capsicum. ( I used red,yellow and green).
4 tbsp chopped coriander leaves.
3 deseeded red chillies finely cut in to pieces.
Mustard seeds.
Oil for cooking.
Method.
Soak rice and poha separately for 7 to 8 hours or overnight. Grind it adding little water. Grind well. At the end add salt. Mix well.
Ferment this over night or 8 hours.
Now add chopped veggies,coriander leaves, chillies and chopped onion. De seeded red chillies finely cut in to pieces. Add salt for the vegetables.
Mix everything well. .
Heat a kadai. Add little oil. Once it is hot add mustard seeds. Let it crackle. Pour one full laddle of batter over the mustard seeds.
Spread little. It is slightly thicker than dosa. When one side is cooked flip it and roast well.
Serve with coconut chutney/ onion chutney.
