This dosa is very soft and very easy to make for breakfast. We need only 2 ingredients to make this. It will stay soft for long time. We can have this with any chutney, sambar or kuruma. Let us see how to make this.
Preparation time approx 5 minutes.
Soaking time. 5 to 6 hours.
Fermentation time overnight or 7 to 8 hours.
1 cup idly rice.
1/4 cup grated fresh coconut.
1/2 tsp eno salt. Or 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp sugar.
Salt to taste.
Oil for making dosa.
Soak the rice atleast 5 to 6 hours. Grind rice and coconut very smoothly. Add salt and mix well.Ferment the batter over night to 7 to 8 hours. It will not rise up like Idly batter.
Before making add eno salt. Add 1 tbsp water. Mix well. Batter should be like idli batter consistency.
Heat a dosa pan. Apply little oil. Pour 1 1/4 laddle of the batter. Do not spread too much. Like uthappam we can make. Pour little oil over the dosai. Cover cook. When holes appear we can take out. No need of flipping it.
Serve with chutney, kuruma or sambar.
