Mango kesari
Kesari is a very popular sweet dish in South India. Most easiest sweet to make.
I learnt this recipe from Mr.Ramakrishnan who is a founder of opos method.Thank you Mr. Ramakrishnan.
Today I am going to teach you how to make kesari in pressure cooker. No need of standing near the stove and mix. You can make with in 30 minutes. This kesari is slightly different from normal keasari. Made kesari with sweet mango. Let us see how to make
Preparation time approx 30 minutes:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cup mango pulp
- 3 tsp ghee
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup roasted rawa
Method:
In a pressure cooker body mix sugar, water, ghee and mango pulp. Mix well.
Cook for 1 whistle at medium heat.
Release steam manually.
Now add roasted rawa and mix well . Close the cooker.( no need of keeping this again on stove)
Serve after 20 minutes.
Options.
- Add cardamom powder if you desire
- you can reduce the sugar to 3/4 cup if your mangoes are very sweet.
- Add fried cashew nuts.
- Add little more water or mango pulp if you like a softer consistency.
