Haricot beans salad or White beans chundal

White beans chundal .

White beans  is also known as haricot beans or navy beans which is high in nutritional value,high protein,low fat. 1 cup of white bean will give us full protein content for the body for a day. In this recipe I have not added onion and garlic. You can add if you like.

Preparation time approx 45 minutes

Soaking time 7 to 8 hours

  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup of white beans. Soak over night.
  • 2 green chillies
  • Some chopped dhaniya leaves
  • 1 small tsp chopped ginger
  • 1/2lemon

For seasoning

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp channa dal
  • A pinch of asafoetida

Method

Cook the white beans in pressure cooker with water. Strain and keep.
Heat oil add seasonings , green chillies and ginger. When it is ready add beans and salt.Saute for a minute.Garnish with chopped dhaniya leaves. Switch off the stove.Squeeze lemon and mix well.
